 PRAYING THE ROSARY LIKE DAVE

In late December 2024, I managed to spend sometime with my friends Dave and Deanna who live in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Dave was kind enough to share with me his own Rosary story that he agreed for me to share . Here is the summary;

  1. Earlier this year Dave (perhaps 65 years) suffered a severe heart attack. His wife Deanna rushed him to the hospital and luckily after a few days he was able to go home, but on a long-term recovery plan including daily walking exercises.

  2. Dave credits his commitment to praying the Rosary in part to his quick and full recovery from the heart attack.

  3. As part of his recovery he would walk 7 miles a day and he would pray the Rosary as he walked.

  4. He resolved not to let “Hail Mary’s” be empty prayers, so he developed a new method.

  5. For each Hail Mary, at the place of “…pray for us sinners” he mentions a specific persons name. This way he can pray for over 50 people for each Rosary.

I will be curious to hear your feedback, kindly share with us what you think.
